Carl Rudolph, Jr. was born June 17, 1926, in Breckenridge , MN , the fourth son of Carl and Martha (Denow) Rudolph, Sr. He grew up in Barney Township attending Barney school and Wyndmere High School .

On June 28, 1947, he married Anna Fay Dinger at Peace Lutheran Church , Barney. Carl farmed for many years on a farm in Antelope Township where they raised 3 children. He drove school bus and worked for Tready Haugen in the winters. They farmed, raised hogs, and had feeder cattle until 1969. Carl operated Wyndmere Lockers before he became a State Grain Inspector working as a claims investigator for Workman’s Comp. He later worked at Montgomery Wards as a serviceman and Wahpeton Mechanical as a plumber, before retiring in 1979 due to poor health. They moved into Barney in the spring of 2004. He loved their new place in Barney and would sit out on the back deck watching the birds and using his new furniture.

He was a life long member of Peace Lutheran Church , Barney; had been on the cemetery board; and had been a former church trustee for years.

He enjoyed his wood working shop where he made many beautiful pieces of furniture and gifts. His pride and joy was his John Deere riding lawn mower-no one drive it but him except when his health won’t permit, fishing and visiting with family and friends at Ottertail Lake . He loved to travel in his motor home and saw many new places. Took his dog Schubert along which he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Fay, Barney, ND; his daughters, Sandra (Dean) Ahmann, Moorhead, MN; Nancy Rudolph, Winchester, WI; his son, Terry, Fargo; his 3 granddaughters, Keily (Dave) Chavez, Lovett, Texas, Kristina Swenson, Fargo, and Ashley Rudolph and her Fiancé Brent Muscha, Bismarck, ND; 4great-grandchildren, Jadan Marmarlio, Savannah Chavez, Jesse Swenson and Julianna Becker; sisters-in-law, Marcella Rudolph, Sauk Rapids, MN, Eleanor King, Hemet, CA, Lucille Hanson, Missoula, MT; 2 brothers-in-law, Ronald (Joan) Dinger, Alexandria, MN, and LeRoy (Ellyn) Dinger, Wahpeton; and several nieces and nephews.
