, the daughter of Donald and Irene (Rabideaux) Christesen. She grew up in
Fargo
and graduated from
Fargo
South
High School
in 1973. She attended NDSSS in Wahpeton where she obtained her LPN Nursing Degree and started her career in nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital in
Minneapolis
. Donna attended St. Luke’s
School
of
Nursing
in
Fargo
where she graduated from their Registered Nursing Program; she worked at
St. John’s
Hospital
. Donna was united in marriage to Vance Kjorsvik on March 6, 1982 in
Fargo
; they lived in Wahpeton where she worked at St. Francis Hospital in
Breckenridge
,
MN
. In 1983 they moved to
Grand Forks
,
ND
where she worked for United Hospital Rehab. They returned to Fargo in 1985 where Donna worked for Meritcare and in 1995 they lived in Michigan, ND where she was Director of Nurses for Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Lakota, ND. Her nursing career continued when in 2005 they moved to Wahpeton where she was employed by St. Catherine’s
Living
Center
, as their Director of Nurses, a position she currently held.
Donna was a dedicated nurse and took great pride in getting involved with community fund raising for her place of employment. She was locally a member of Zonta and VFW Auxiliary. Her special enjoyment in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and family at the lakes.
Donna is survived by her husband, Vance, Wahpeton; three sons: Kyle (Hannah Sanford) Kjorsvik, Fargo; Travis (Pat) Kjorsvik, and Matthew Kjorsvik, all of Wahpeton; three grandchildren: Zachariah, Arianna and Madelyn, two brothers and two sisters: David (Kathy) Christesen, Woodbury, MN; Jeri Christesen, Fargo; Dan (Karen) Christesen, Provo, Utah; Christy (Lenny Schultz) Christesen, Warren, MN; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and an uncle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Irene Christesen.
