Doreen Treitline

Doreen DeLoris Treitline, 87, Hankinson, ND, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. The Funeral Service will be Monday, December 16, 2:00 PM, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Hankinson, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the church and one hour before the service on Monday. Interment will be at a later date at Freeman Cemetery, rural McLeod, ND. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Doreen DeLoris Tveberg was born March 29, 1926, at Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of Gust and Martha (Houge) Tveberg. Doreen grew up in McLeod, ND, where she attended school. She worked as a bookkeeper at West Fargo stockyards during WWII. She married Leslie R. Manske; the couple lived in McLeod, where Doreen was a switch board operator with the telephone company and helped at the restaurant. The family later moved to Fergus Falls where she worked at Sears, and for a Fergus Falls clinic in accounting. She married Willard Treitline and the couple lived in Hankinson. Willard passed away and Doreen continued to live in Hankinson working in the business office for the Hankinson School Systems. Doreen retired at age 75 and continued to reside in Hankinson.

Doreen is survived by her two children: Dr. Llewellyn Leo Manske, Dickinson, ND; and Connie Rae Manske, Burnsville, MN; her granddaughter, Laisha Lynn (Eric) Miller, Fargo; two brothers: Daryl (Marlys) Sagvold, McLeod; James Sagvold, Sheldon, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

Doreen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willard, two sisters, Annabelle Hakanson, and Virginia Olerud.
