Forrest Little

Forrest "Bud" Little passed away at St. Francis Hospital on Feb. 6, 2008 on his ninetieth birthday. The funeral service will be Monday, 10:30 am, at United Methodist Church, Wyndmere, ND, with Rev. Linda Baldock officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 4 PM to 7 PM with a 5 PM prayer service at Willow Creek Chapel (920 3rd Ave. N.) Wahpeton, and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Elk Creek Cemetery, Wyndmere.



Bud was born February 6, 1918 on the farm by Wilton to Stephen and Agnes Little. He attended school in Regan and Wilton, ND graduating in 1938. In 1939 he moved with his parents to the farm southeast of Wyndmere.



He was united in marriage to Ethel Puetz on Nov. 30, 1950. They raised 3 children on their dairy farm in rural Wyndmere, where they lived through out their 57 years of marriage. He was a man who had great love for his wife and his family.



Bud was a member of Wyndmere Methodist Church and served on the church board and ND Milk Stabilization Board. He loved the farm and farm life. Their dairy operation produced some of the top production cows for Cass Clay Creamery. After he retired from the dairy business, he operated Bud and Ethel's Sharpening service. Bud enjoyed helping Ethel make quilts for all of the family.



He is survived by wife Ethel, son Neil and wife Mona, Fargo, their children, McKensie, St. Paul, MN; Logan, Fridley, MN; Alexandra and Madison, Fargo. His daughter Linda and husband Ben Fink, Wahpeton. Her children Hugh, Ginger and Hope Zajac, all of Wahpeton and step-children Traci (Dave) Van Ooteghem, Osceola, IN, Christy (Antonio) Amador, Mishawaka, IN, Mandy (Greg) Baune, Inver Grove, MN and Josie (Aaron) Koppen, Minneapolis, MN. Daughter Kay and husband Dan Vinje, Valley City, and Kristin and Melody Vinje, Moorhead, and Joy and Carl Vinje, Valley City. Nephews Dan Puetz, Wyndmere and David Puetz, Watertown, SD, who, stayed with Bud and Ethel 6 summers and several nieces and nephews. Sisters Janet (Rudy) Dotzenrod and DeElda Vosberg, Wyndmere, brothers? in-law Donald Puetz, Breckenridge and Arnold Puetz, Wahpeton.



He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Dorothy Trygg and her husband John Trygg brother-in-law Lawrence Vosberg, sister-in law Margie Puetz and Mary Puetz, and three grandchildren, Sonnie Zajac, Josh and Sammy Little.



He was a special man who loved his wife, his family and his church with all his heart.

He was our rock. He will be deeply missed by our family and friends.
