Gerald Pausch

Gerald was born April 4, 1932, at Breckenridge , MN , the son of Henry and Theresa (Krump) Pausch at Breckenridge , MN . Gerald grew up and attended rural school near Mantador , ND . He worked on the farm until he entered the US Army in 1952 and served until 1954. He was united in marriage to Kathy Freeman on February 12, 1954 at Columbus , Georgia . The couple returned to the Mantador area where Gerald farmed. They purchased the Mohr farm NW of Wahpeton in 1956 where they have continued to live and farm. He purchased the Oasis Bar in 1976 and continued to live on the farm. He entered St. Catherine’s Living Center in December of 2009.





Gerald was a member of the Eagles, Hafner-Miller-Ross American Legion Post No. 20, 40 et 8, Wahpeton Bowling Association and at one time the Owl Club. He enjoyed fishing, particularly in Canada , bowling, traveling with his wife. He especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren and playing cards.





Gerald is survived by his wife, Kathy, Wahpeton; four sons and two daughters: Jeff (Karen) Pausch, Wahpeton; Andrea Freeman, Minneapolis, MN; Barry (Nola) Pausch, Wahpeton; Tim (Kathy) Pausch, Moorhead, MN; Brad (Wendy Smith) Pausch, Wahpeton; Jill (Joe) Dosouto, Rhode Island; daughter-in-law, Jane Pausch, Northfield, MN. 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, his brother Donald (Margaret) Pausch, Mantador, ND; and his sister, Rita Leinen, Wahpeton.





He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Neil, two great granddaughters, Taylor and Alexis, two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Leinen and Joan Thiel, and two brothers, Harold and Virgil Pausch.
