Glenn E. Hanson, 55, Wahpeton, ND, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital, Minneapolis , MN . The Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, at Bethel Lutheran Church , Wahpeton, with Rev. Kathryn Rothman officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 PM to 7 PM at Willow Creek Chapel ( 920 3 rd Ave. N. ) Wahpeton. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Glenn Earl Hanson was born January 5, 1954 at Breckenridge , MN , the son of Earl and Lorraine (Olson) Hanson. He grew up near Mooreton and attended grade school at Mooreton, junior and high school at Wahpeton, graduating in 1972. Glenn worked for Neil Skovholt and was united in marriage to Dorean Johnson on July 12, 1980 at Breckenridge , MN . They lived in Wahpeton and he continued his work in agriculture, working for Larry Miller, Minn-Dak Farmers Co-Op, Bell Farms and most recently for Clark Quarter Horses. He also raised pigs with his brother Mark.

Glenn was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church , and enjoyed history, auctions, his pets and making his family happy.

Glenn is survived by his wife Dorean Hanson, Wahpeton, his two daughters, Tanya Hanson, and Cassandra Hanson and her special friend Brian Splichal, all of Fargo; two sisters and two brothers: Joan Hanson, Wahpeton; James (Virginia) Hanson, Fergus Falls, MN ; Mark Hanson , Mooreton; and Annette Hanson, Wahpeton; his father-in-law, Elroy Johnson, Breckenridge; mother-in-law Dora Johnson, Campbell, MN, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Keith.
