Henry Dichraff

March 25, 1927 — November 30, 2010

Henry Dichraff, 83, Wahpeton, ND, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND. The Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 4, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton with Rev. Stephen Morris Jr., officiating. Visitation will be from Friday, 5 PM to 7 PM with a 7 PM prayer service at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton, and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, with Military Honors provided by Wahpeton Military Unit. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Henry was born March 25, 1927 in rural Colfax, ND. Hank was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Colfax. He attended elementary school at Nansen Township and high school in Colfax. Hank served in the United States Navy during World War II, entering the service at the age of 17. Following his service he returned to Wahpeton and worked for Montgomery Ward, where he met his wife to be, Adeline. On April 25, 1948 he married Adeline Bohn on April 25, 1948 he married Adeline Bohn at Trinity Lutheran in Great Bend, North Dakota. Hank loved visiting with people and worked in sales for most of his career. He worked selling farm equipment for Frontier Equipment of Wahpeton and sold automobiles for Ford, Chevrolet and Chrysler dealerships in Wahpeton.

Hank was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time in Bible Study and helping out with office activities and assisting Crafty Ladies. He was a member of Hafner-Miller-Ross American Legion Post No. 20, Wahpeton, and Woody Keeble VFW Post No. 4324, Wahpeton. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a source of pride and filled his loving heart with precious memories.

Hank is survived by three children: Paul Dichraff, Mesa, AZ; Cheryl (Doug) Woodruff, Wahpeton; Jo (Tim) Matz, Wahpeton; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one brother, Fritz (Bette) Dichraff, Fargo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Sophie (Hermo) Dichraff, and his wife Adeline.
