Jacquelyn Riewe

Jacquelyn "Jacky" Riewe, 75, Fairmount, ND, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. The Funeral Service will be 1:30 PM, Monday, at First English Lutheran Church, Fairmount. Visitation will be Sunday, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, ND, at a later date. Arrangements are with Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Jacquelyn Ann Mead was born July 19, 1938 at Fairmount, ND, the daughter of Chester A. and Bertha V. (Olson) Mead. She grew up near Fairmount attending local school. She married Kenneth Kutzer September of 1954. The couple farmed and lived east of Fairmount for several years. Jacky married Leo Riewe on January 3, 1969. The couple owned and operated the Hi-Lo Motel and Trailer Court, Riverton, WY. They retired in 1984 and enjoyed traveling. Leo passed away April 1, 1995, Jacky moved back to Fairmount where she has since lived.

Jacky was a member of First English Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and gardening.

Jacky is survived by three children: Kathleen (Tony) Wellborn, Marietta, TX; Steven (Sandy) Kutzer, Riverton, WY; Wendy (Carl) Pfeiffer, Riverton, WY; four grandchildren: Nonnie Farmer, Danielle Wellborn, Fabrianne Kutzer, Tyson Kutzer; four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and her sister, Marvis "Peggy" Oberle, Bristol, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Marlys "Punky" Pierce.
