Jean Muir

Jean Marie Muir was born to Caroline (Henkenius) and Walter Muir on April 23,
1944, in Breckenridge Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm in Antelope
Township, Richland County, ND and was educated at Antelope School, Wyndmere
High School and the State School of Science in Wahpeton.

Jean was employed by the Defense Department Audit Agency in Minneapolis for
over 30 years, eventually becoming the administrative staff supervisor. She retired
in 1999.

Jean was a beloved sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. Her quick wit and sense
of humor were only two of her endearing traits. She confronted her illness with
courage, grace, humor and love.

Preceding Jean in death were her parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles and
several cousins.

She is survived by her sister, Ellen (Jim) Sturdevant, Wahpeton ND, nieces Susan
Nagel (Tom), Fargo ND; Cathy Michels (Kevin), Moorhead MN.; Jane Koppang
(Kevin), Wahpeton ND and nephews Brad Sturdevant (Nancy), Missoula, MT. and
David Sturdevant, Ottertail Lake, MN. and great nieces and nephews, Tyler, Matt
and Lindsay Nagel; Connor and Blake Koppang; Morgan and McKenna Michels,
and Jimmy and Sam Sturdevant.
