Katherine Pausch

March 23, 1932 — September 3, 2016

Little Birdie, Little Birdie, flew home, better known as the Georgia Peach, Katherine Pausch, 84, returned home Saturday, September 3, 2016, surrounded with family and loved ones at her farm home near Wahpeton. Thanking the medical profession, Hospice, who assisted with Katherine's care.

Katherine was born March 23, 1932, at Troy, Alabama, the daughter of George Leslie and Lydia Vancile Freeman. She grew up and attended school in Troy moving to Phenix City, Alabama where she attended High School. She was united in marriage to Gerald Pausch on February 12, 1954, at Columbus, Georgia. The couple moved to Mantador, ND area. They purchased the Mohr farm northwest of Wahpeton in 1956 where they raised their family and farmed. Gerald passed away August 17, 2010, Katherine continued to live at the farm.

Katherine loved and enjoyed her children, traveling, bowling, flowers, craft club, and many hours of reading.

Katherine is survived by her six children: Andrea Freeman, Bradley (Wendy) Pausch, Jeffrey (Karen) Pausch, Timothy (Kathy) Pausch, Jill (Joe) Dosouto, Barry Pausch, grandchildren and great grandchildren, four sisters, Leslie Ferrell Freeman, Lanene Gannon, Jean Freeman, Terri Scarlett Bradford, two brothers, Steven Cunningham and Chris Cunningham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, her brother Robert and 2 year old brother, Mickey, grandson, Neil, and great-granddaughters Taylor and Alexis.

There will be a private family service.
