Lillian Haman

Lillian "Dicki" Haman, 83, Wahpeton, ND and formerly Bismarck, ND died on March 30, 2016 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton with Rev. Dale F. Lagodinski officiating. There will be visitation at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Inurnment with be at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Kent, MN. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vertin-Munson Wahpeton Funeral Home.
Lillian Esther Reiff was born on September 30, 1932 in Moorhead, MN to Charles and Bertha (Lotzer) Reiff. She attended grade school in Kent, MN and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1950. She then attended Moorhead State University. On September 9, 1952 she was united in marriage to Roger Berseth at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton. To this union five children were born and the family resided in Wahpeton for many years. From 1969 to 1971 Lillian returned to college, the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton and obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. She was employed by the St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, MN. On June 30, 1972 she married Leonard Haman in Pierre, SD. The family moved to Bismarck, ND where they resided for the next 38 years. Together they started the Haman Landscaping business
Lillian continued to work as a nurse from 1974 to 1994 at St. Alexis Hospital, Bismarck. After their retirement, and due to their failing health, they moved to Wahpeton to be closer to family. Lillian resided at the Leach Home for a year and entered St. Catherine's Living Center in 2013.
She is survived by her daughters; Susan (Craig) Caspers, Wahpeton, ND, Shelly (Michael) Behrendt, Prior Lake, MN and Sheila Gunderson, Grand Junction, CO, her sons; Scott (Terry) Berseth, Detroit Lakes, MN and Steven (Marit) Haman, Fargo, ND; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, her brother Charles Reiff, Wahpeton and her sister, Mary Sellner, Sleepy Eye, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard, her brothers, Thomas and Donald Reiff and two infant sisters.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorials to St. John's School in Wahpeton.
