He was raised in the Mooreton area.
He graduated from

in 1972, then received his B. A. Degree in Speech Pathology at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND in 1976 and his Masters Degree in Audio/logy from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, CO in 1978.
His most recent employment was at the
University
of
California San Francisco
research Hospital where he worked for the past 20 years.

and Kurt (Kathy),

Collins, CO; 5 sisters, Carol (Tom) Radford, Littleton, CO, Claudia (Alvin) Brandt, Wyndmere, Rachel (Gary) Thompson, Bloomington, MN, Mary (Chris) Denis, Argusville, ND, and Carmen (Karl) Schroeder, Sturgeon Bay, WI; 22 nicest and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
