Marcella Morey

Marcella Morey, 91, Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Minot, ND passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at CHI St. Francis Health, Breckenridge, MN. Arrangements are with Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.
Marcella was born in Roth, ND on March 3, 1923 to William and Anna (Dale) Pyne. After her schooling she worked in California and Washington. After her marriage to Russell Morey she lived and worked with her husband on the farm near Minot, ND. Russell died in 1966. She purchased the Tastee Freeze in Velva, ND and operated it for 25 years. In 1994, Marcella moved to Wahpeton, ND.
Marcella is lovingly remembered by her friends and family for her unselfish kindness and her empathy for others.
Marcella is survived by her son, Russell G. Morey, Jamestown, ND; her daughter, Linda (James) Martin, Sallisah, OK; her grandchild, Jay (Kristen) Peerson, Sallisah, OK and their daughter, Coleman Claire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Morey, her four brothers, and her five sisters.
