Olive Rubertus

June 26, 1914 — July 10, 2010

Olive was born June 26, 1914, at Tintah , MN , the daughter of Harry and Ellen (Jeppson) Donnan. She attended schools at Elliott, Nashua , Tintah, Campbell MN , graduating from State College of Science at Wahpeton in 1932. Olive was employed at the Fairmont Creamery in Wahpeton until she married Fred A. Rohrenbach on May 16, 1938 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton. Mr. Rohrenbach died in 1953. She worked as a Deputy County Auditor from 1954 until she married R. C. Rubertus on Feb. 7, 1959. Mr. Rubertus passed away in 1962 at which time Olive took employment at Community First Bank, Wahpeton. In 1965 she continued her employment at her previous position as Deputy County Auditor and in 1977 completed Odin J. Wolds’ term as County Auditor and retired in 1979. She continued to reside in Wahpeton and for the last four years was a resident of St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge , MN .





Olive is survived by her son, Brian (Linda) Rohrenbach, Rosemont, MN; her daughters, Dianne Michels, Chicago, Ill., Barbara (Dan) Eich, St. Cloud, MN., Shirley Doherty, Langdon, ND, step-sons, Donald (Delores) Rubertus, Wahpeton; Rollie (Judy) Rubertus, White Bear Lake, MN; 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.





She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son, Colin J. Rohrenbach in 1944, a daughter Connie Rowland in 1994, her great granddaughter Cortney Rohrenbach in 2007 and her brother Lloyd Donnan in 2009.
