Robert Wolf

September 14, 1924 — June 24, 2012

Robert J. Wolf, 87, Wahpeton, ND, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 11:00 a.m., at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bob was born September 14, 1924 at Fargo, ND, the son of George P. Wolf Sr. and Frances (Mayers) Wolf. The family lived in Colfax, ND, moving to Wahpeton in 1931. He attended rural school in Center No. 1 and farmed with his family. Bob enjoyed the hours on his red Farmall tractor and taking care of his cattle. He entered St. Catherine's Living Center in 1996 and considered all the employees part of his family.

Bob was a longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church. Bob's passion was following the Minnesota Twins, Wahpeton Huskies, NDSCS Wildcats and the Minnesota Vikings. Bob was named Honorary NDSSS Coach. Any sport enthusiast could ask Bob a question about a game and he could tell you the answer.

Bob is survived by fourteen nieces and nephews. Local niece is Mary Wolf Helland (Tom) of Wahpeton and nephew Steve Wolf (Shelly) of Mooreton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Frances, three brothers: George Wolf Jr., David Wolf, and Richard Wolf.
