Roger A. Pedersen, 65, Wahpeton, ND, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at his residence in Wahpeton. The Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 17, at Willow Creek Chapel ( 920 3 ^rd Ave. N. ) Wahpeton, ND with Rev. Jim Gustafson of Bethel Lutheran Church , Wahpeton, officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Marion , ND . Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton is in charge of arrangements.

Roger was born October 31, 1944, at Oakes , ND , the son of Roy and Helen (Schmitz) Pedersen. He grew up in Marion , ND , and graduated from Marion High School . He entered the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He married Nancy Johnson on August 16, 1964 at Marion Lutheran Church . They were stationed in France and later lived in Idaho and Grand Forks , ND while Roger was in the service. After 6 years of service Roger was honorably discharged and they resided in Jamestown , ND , where he worked for Haybuster. The family moved to Wahpeton in 1975 where Roger started his 35 year career with Wil-Rich Manufacturing; retiring in December 2009.

Roger enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his children grandchildren. He was also an avid Nascar and Green Bay Packer Fan.

Roger is survived by his four children: Troy (Rose) Pedersen, Fargo; Lisa (Dale) Kosa, Choctaw, OK; Destiny (Steve) Craig, Wahpeton; Sean (Katie) Pedersen, Montrose, MN; seven grandchildren: Andrew, Maranda, Sarah, Emily, Hunter, Luke, and Charli and his brother, Dale Pedersen, Fargo.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents his brother, Doug Pedersen and a son-in-law, George Braun.
