Walter Taylor

July 25, 1944 — January 6, 2011

Walter "Buddy" Taylor was born on July 25, 1944 in rural Fairmount, ND to Glen and Evelyn (Albright) Taylor. He lived with his family in Fairmount until his mother passed away in 1995. During his time in Fairmount he was known to help out around town and sold nightcrawlers on the side. In December 1995, he moved to Wahpeton where he was under the care of Red River Human Services. Buddy thought of all of his peers and staff at his home as family and will be missed by all.

Buddy was very involved in the Special Olympics and won many medals. He enjoyed bowling, watching the Vikings and the Twins, reading, tinkering on things, and his dog, Dolly. He loved going out with his family to eat and especially cherished his time with his grand-nephew, Emmerson.

Buddy is survived by his brother, Dan (Loretta) Taylor, Wahpeton, ND; his sister, Rose Etta (Duane) Booke, Fargo, ND; his nieces and nephew, Dianna Booke, Fargo, Margie Booke, Moorhead, MN, Leo (Daphne) Taylor and their son, Emmerson, Fairmount, Amanda (Brent) Krutzig and their daughters Nevaeh and Evelyn, Elk River, MN. He is also survived by his special family at 608 4th Street South in Wahpeton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Evelyn Taylor.
