Warren H. Anderson, 88, Lidgerwood , ND , formerly Barney , ND , died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center , Fargo , ND . Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wyndmere , ND with Rev. Len Loegering as celebrant. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wyndmere; also, visitation Wednesday one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be held at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery , rural Wyndmere. Military Honors will be conducted by the Barney VFW Memorial Post No. 9366.





Warren Harding Anderson was born June 15, 1921, at Nansen Twp, rural Walcott , ND to William D. and Elizabeth (Fank) Anderson. He received his formal education at Nansen Township . He then farmed with his family until he served in the Army in the South Pacific from 1942 until 1945, when he was honorably discharged. He continued to farm with his family. He married Angeline Shorma on March 31, 1948, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Wyndmere. They purchased a farm in Nansen Township , rural Barney and they have continued to farm there. In 1993 the couple moved to Lidgerwood. He enjoyed farming all of his life.





He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a Lifetime member of the Barney VFW Memorial Post No. 9366.





He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Angeline, Lidgerwood; his son Warren C. Anderson, and his daughter-in-law, Mary Rehak, Barney; 1 brother, James (Darlene) Anderson, Wyndmere; and 2 sisters, Margaret Williams, Barney and Emith (Quentin) Boyer, Barney.





He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers, Lewis, John, William, Raymond, Thorvald, Kermit and Richard; and 3 sisters, Elizabeth Porth, infant Katherine, and Gladys Thompson.
