Arlys Zieske

Arlys Enochson Zieske, 88, of Wahpeton, ND went to be with her Lord on February 27, 2018.  Arlys was born to Lee and Ida Enochson on June 14, 1929, Flag Day and baptized on August 29, 1929.  She and Clarence Zieske married November 26, 1949 after completing Kinmen Business college in Spokane, WA.  (Mom said she took her final exam in the morning and got married in the afternoon)  Arlys was a kind, caring woman who took the time to remember your name and show a genuine interest in you and your family.

Arlys has six living children.  Butch (Pixine) Zieske, Connie (Jerry) Lemieux, Peggy Zieske Mehls, Keith (Tammy) Zieske, David Zieske, Kristi Pendergrass.  She has twenty grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.  Arlys was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, her beloved daughter Faith, her granddaughters Katrina and Brook, and grandson Shane.

Services will be held at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND, Friday, March 2 at 5:00 PM. Visitation will be from 3 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Dwight, ND, in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Dwight, ND or Scobey Lutheran Church in Scobey, MT.  Special thanks to the staff of Essentia Health in Fargo, ND for her excellent care.
