Carol Draeger, 67, Wahpeton, ND, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge , MN . The Funeral Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 23, at Evergreen United Methodist Church , Wahpeton. Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery , Wahpeton, in the spring. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, is in charge of arrangements

Carol was born August 18, 1942, at Breckenridge , MN , the daughter of Jarvis and Doris (Staples) Wasvick. She grew up in Wyndmere where she attended school. Carol was united in marriage to Cliff Draeger on March 7, 1961 at United Methodist Church , Wyndmere , ND . They moved to Wahpeton, ND, where Carol worked for Leach Home and for 16 years at the Daily News. Carol operated Draeger’s Pets and Stuff and for the last eleven years worked for Red River Human Services in Wahpeton.

Carol was a member of Evergreen United Methodist Church . She enjoyed crocheting and collecting Elvis memorabilia and porcelain Roosters. She was dedicated mother and grandmother.

Carol is survived by her husband Cliff, Wahpeton; her two sons and her daughter: Vernon (Linda Anderson) Draeger, Glencoe , MN ; Robert (Karen Hall) Draeger, St. Cloud, MN; Debbie (John) Fenner, Glencoe, MN; seven grandchildren: Sarah, Dustin, Kalyn, Alicia, Nicholas, Jiana and R.J.; her two sisters and three brothers: Sandra (James) Stoudt, Watertown, SD; Nancy (Dennis) Nyhof, Gilbert AZ; Jarvis Wasvick, Wilmington, NC; Duane (Verna) Wasvick, Ocean Side, CA: Bruce (Elisabeth) Wasvick, Diamondhead , MS .

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and an infant son.
