Cheryl Bliss, 58, Arvada , Colorado died Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Collier Hospice Lutheran Medical Center, Wheat Ridge, Co. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27 at Bethel Lutheran Church , Wahpeton, ND with Rev. Gary Mikkelson officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens , “ Garden of Prayer ”, Wahpeton.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.

Cheryl Lynn Bliss was born March 10, 1950, at Fremont , Ohio , the daughter of Darwin and Joan (Richter) Bliss. She graduated from Ft. Morgan High School , Ft. Morgan, Co in 1968, and continued her education with a Bachelors and Masters degree from Greeley State College ( University of Northern Colorado ), Greeley. Cheryl was a special education teacher in the Jefferson County, Colorado school district for 31 years, retiring in 2003.

Cheryl is survived by her mother, Joan, Wahpeton; 2 brothers, Darwin, Jr. (Linda) Bliss, Holbrook, MA, Terry (Joan) Bliss, Plymouth, MN; 2 sisters, Diane (William) Kubischta, Sachse, TX, Carol (Dan) Winter, West Fargo, ND; 4 nieces, 4 nephews, twin great-nieces; aunts; and uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Darwin , 2006; an infant, brother, Mark; and her grandparents.

Memorials are asked to go to Bethel Lutheran Church and Riveredge Hospice.
