Clifford Dale Draeger, 85, of Wahpeton, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Leach Home. His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, beginning at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton. Clifford's niece, Donna Uselman, will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton, with lunch to follow.
Cliff was born on May 22, 1940, in Wyndmere, ND, to Paul and Myrtle (Bucholz) Draeger. He grew up in Wyndmere and attended school there. Cliff was united in marriage to Carol (Wasvick) on March 7, 1961, at the United Methodist Church in Wyndmere. They moved to Wahpeton, where Cliff worked at Brown's filling station. Cliff later became a plumber and worked for Hopper's in Wahpeton, then Schmitty's until his retirement. Cliff was also the owner of Draeger's Pets n Stuff, a business he was very proud of. He raised many birds that were displayed at the petting zoo at Chahinkapa Park in Wahpeton.
Cliff was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wahpeton. Cliff enjoyed life, particularly his family and friends.
Cliff is survived by his three children, Vernon (Linda) Draeger, Robert Draeger, and daughter Debbie (John) Fenner; grandchildren Sarah (Bryan) Lutgen, Kalyn (Pat) Draeger, Alicia Fenner, Nick (Kaitlyn) Fenner, Jiana Posusta, and R.J Draeger; great-grandchildren Sophie, Aubree, Benjamin, Violet, and Veada. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters Rose (Dennis) Werner, Delores (Claire) McBeth, and Phyliss (Larry) Spear, as well as his brothers Clarence Draeger and Alwayne (Darlene) Draeger; sister-in-law Sandy (Jim) Stoudt and brother-in-law Bruce Wasvick; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, his parents, an infant son, his grandson, Dustin Strum, and daughter-in-law, Teresa Draeger; along with many other relatives he loved.
