Clyde Bevre

Clyde Calvin Bevre, 90, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Colfax, ND passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning, July 23, 2017 in Las Vegas. His memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND, with Rev. Michael Buller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Walcott, ND. Arrangements are being handled by Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Clyde Bevre was born on May 27, 1927 to Christian and Rovina (Klein) Bevre on the family farm near Colfax. He was baptized and confirmed at Richland Lutheran Church. Clyde grew up near Colfax and attended country school Eagle #6 through the 8th grade. Clyde farmed and was an excellent welder which helped in the farming operation until he retired in the early 1990’s. After his retirement, Clyde moved to Las Vegas in 2010 along with his nephew and wife George and Xiao Han Bevre.

Clyde was a man of faith. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend to many.

Clyde is survived by his brothers, Alden (Milly) Bevre, Moorhead, MN and Roger (Helen), Las Vegas, NV and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Rovina “Romie”, and his sisters, Charlotte Boe and Pearl Lynch.
