Corrine G. Narum was born August 23, 1940, in Britton, South Dakota, to Edgar and Hilda (Hermanson) Narum.  She was raised and attended school in Rutland, North Dakota, graduating from Rutland High School in 1958.  Corrine was baptized into the Lutheran faith on September 29, 1940, at Nordland Lutheran Church in Rutland, ND.  She was later confirmed on June 20, 1954.  Corrine was always very proud of her hometown, and was happy to go back for a visit and help out with the Uffda Day event held in October.  She attended the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND.  After college, she was employed by Fargo Clinic/Meritcare for five years.  Corrine started her career at the Wahpeton Clinic/Dakota Clinic on March 9, 1964, and retired on December 19, 2003.

Corrine was united in marriage to Albert Romereim on June 20, 1964, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton.  One of her greatest joys in life was her family- one son, Rod; daughter-in-law, Brenda; and her granddaughters, Brandi and Jaylyn.

Not only was she very active in the community, but also an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Corrine valued the friends she made along the way.   She was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Wahpeton Huskies, NDSU Bison, Vikings, Twins, and especially any team her granddaughters were on.  Her hobbies included family, camping, hunting, fishing, traveling, gardening, and enjoying time with her friends.  Corrine was also known for her canning, cooking, and baking; especially her lemon pies.

Being the active lady she was, Corrine served the community of Wahpeton throughout her career.  She served on many church boards, and was a past board member of the Wahpeton Area Chamber of Commerce, Clerk/Treasurer of Center Township, United Way, Richland County Volunteer Caregivers Exchange Program, Senior Citizens Board, Vo-Tech Board, Zonta Club, and Twin Town Artist Series.  She was a past member of the Wahpeton-Breckenridge Twin Town Ambassadors Group, Wahpeton Visitors Committee, DREAMS Auction Committee, NDSCS Business and Industry Advisory Committee, Chamber Picnic Committee, and Treasurer of Democratic Party District 25.

Corrine is survived by her son, Rod; daughter-in-law, Brenda; granddaughters, Brandi Romereim (Kaitlynn Crandall) and Jaylyn Romereim (Ethan LaPlante); one brother, Gary Narum; niece, Amy Narum; sister-in-law, Kay (Roger) Larson; nephew, Jed (DeAnna) Larson; 2 great nieces; and 2 great-nephews.
