Daniel Taylor

Dan was born on July 29, 1948 to Glen and Evelyn (Albright) Taylor in Breckenridge, MN. He was raised on the family farm near Fairmount, ND and attended school in Fairmount. He worked at various jobs around the area.

Dan was united in marriage to Loretta Piechowski on September 17, 1977 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Fairmount, ND. Dan then started working at Farmer's Union of the Southern Valley in Fairmount. They lived in Fairmount and raised their children. Dan started driving truck for Minn-Dak Farmer's Coop in 1995 and retired in 2006 due to his health. Dan and Loretta moved to Wahpeton in 2009.

Dan was a member of the Fairmount Fire Department for 26 years and also the Fairmount Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing with his family at Ten Mile Lake, hunting, and working with cars. His family was very special in his life, especially his grandchildren and his cat, Manny.

Dan is survived by his wife, Loretta, Wahpeton, ND; his son, Leo (Daphne) Taylor, and their son Emmerson, Fairmount, ND; his daughter, Amanda (Brent) Krutzig, and their children, Nevaeh and Evelyn, Simpsonville, SC; his sister, Rose (Duane) Booke, Fargo, ND; his niece, Margie Booke, Moorhead, MN; and his mother-in-law, Julie Piechowski, Fairmount, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Buddy Taylor, his niece, Dianna Booke, and his father-in-law, Leo Piechowski.
