Dolores Davis

October 25, 1930 — September 17, 2025

Dolores Agnes Davis, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 25, 1930, in Mantador, North Dakota, to John and Rose (Klosterman) Pellman.

On November 24, 1951, Dolores married James “Jim” Davis, with whom she shared a loving marriage and built a beautiful life together. A devoted farm wife, she worked side by side with Jim, including many years of milking cows and caring for the land. A woman of strong faith, Dolores was also an active member of the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Order of Foresters at St. Anthony’s Parish. She generously gave her time to her community, including volunteering at the historic Bagg Farm.

Dolores was the cornerstone of her family. She offered unconditional love and guidance to her children and took great joy in her family as it grew. She enjoyed simple pleasures such as crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and the family’s favorite game of “Tip the Cow,” which brought laughter and togetherness to her home.

She is survived by her children: Kenneth, Denise (Richard) Kruse, Allan, Vicki (Steve) Morrison, Brian (Jane), Kristi (Dean) Nordick, Sharon (Joel) Matthys, Keith, and daughter-in-law Pam, wife of her late son Glen. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Keri (Darren), Eric, Cory, Erin (Dan), Chris (Sara), Cole, Kyle, Cody (Steph), Shawn, Kayla, Tyler, Shanna, Shane, Mariah (Brandon), Zack (Kayla), Lori, and Ellice; and her great-grandchildren: Jesse, Grant, Rylan, Anna, Owen, Mikaela, Noah, Hattie, Noel, Elliott, Tyson, Addison, Scarlett, Addie, Evelyn, Zoey, Wrenly, Ari, Clayton, Kyra, Ensley, Nora, Sophie, and Marlena.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim; her son, Glen; her grandson, Jamie Kruse; her parents, John and Rose (Klosterman) Pellman; five sisters; and three brothers.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 21, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Mooreton, with a rosary at 5:30 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to the funeral. The funeral will be on Monday, September 22, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s.

Dolores will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished always. The family extends a special thank you to CHI Health at Home and Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
