Don Allen Tetzloff, 50, Wahpeton, ND, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 26 at United Church of Christ, Wahpeton, ND with Rev. Ken Adams officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.
Don Tetzloff was born on May 12, 1968 in Breckenridge, MN, to Jerry and Sharon (Smith) Tetzloff. He grew up in Mooreton, ND and moved to Wahpeton in 1980.
Don worked many years at the Daily news in Wahpeton and later worked for Big John’s Car Pro until his health no longer allowed him to continue working.
Don loved many things in life, especially when it came to his loved ones. He cherished his family; especially his brothers and sisters. In many aspects of his life, family was always the center, the loves of his life were his nieces and nephews, he would spend countless hours teaching the craft of woodworking and car repairs to his nephews. His nieces enjoyed the many rides they got on the lawn mower.
Don’s biggest passion in life was woodworking, he made clocks and shelves of different kinds. He diligently replicated his crafts from kid’s movies and comic books, anything to keep him busy. When Don wasn’t working on projects he was spending time helping his mom. He had a deep appreciation for her and loved taking her out for lunch or simply shopping; they were best friends. Don was an incredible man and always the life of the party, making people laugh and having a good time.
Don will be greatly missed by his mom, Sharon Tetzloff of Wahpeton; his brothers, Steve Tetzloff and Loren (Kandi) Tetzloff; his sisters, Lynn (Todd) Oswalt and JoAnn (Andy) Dodd; his nieces and nephews, Kayla Devorak (Mary), Britt Rovig, Nathan Devorak, Kayla Rovig (Tony), Brad Tetzloff (Fabi), Jordan Tetzloff, Aries Finsaas (Tim), Dylon, Tetzloff, Kevin Tetzloff, Katelyn Oswalt, Austin Oswalt; many great nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
Don is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Tetzloff; his sister, Pamela Rovig; many aunts and uncles; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
