Gary Pigeon, 60 of Rural Wahpeton, ND, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. His family has planned the memorial service for July 13, 2024, with a luncheon and fellowship to take place from 11 am - 1 pm at Harvest Outreach Church, 1155 21st Ave N, Wahpeton, North Dakota. 

A memorial ride will leave the church at 1 pm sharp. Stops will be made in Fairmount, ND and Wendell, MN before arriving around 3:30 pm at the Lakeside Cemetery in Herman, Minnesota. At the Cemetery there will be a brief ceremony before Gary is laid to rest next to his mother, Kathi Bates. 

Gary Scott Pigeon was born January 26, 1963, in Rolla, North Dakota, to Gary and Kathleen (Marick) Pigeon. He attended school in Dunseith and Wahpeton, ND. He was blessed with 4 children, Jesse, Andrea, Aaron, and Kristy.

Gary went on to live in the Roseau, Minnesota area, and was employed by Polaris and Marvin Windows. He would later move to Devil’s Lake, ND, where he worked for John Deere, then on to Wahpeton, ND, where he spent his time riding motorcycles and tinkering with small engines for friends and family. 

Gary is survived by his children, Jesse Pigeon, West Fargo, ND, Andrea (Ryan) Sprabary, Roseau, MN, Kristy Pigeon, McVille, ND; step-daughter, Amber Meyer, Badger, MN; grandchildren, Lexi, Weston, and Britton; step-grandchildren, Bryce, Bethany, Roger, Maizy, Tobias; sisters, Tami (Melvin) Heilman, Center, ND, Vicki (Peter) Mandt, Norcross, MN, Krystle (Jevon) Wallace, Fargo, ND, and Kiauni (Phillip) Witthauer, Jamestown, ND, and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Pigeon, and Kathleen (Kenneth) Bates; and his son, Aaron Pigeon; two grandchildren, Peyton and Tannon Sprabary.
