Gilbrina "Bri" Miller, 41, of Wahpeton, ND, passed away at her residence on August 9, 2023, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Her memorial service will be at 11a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023, at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton. There will be visitation one hour prior. Dr. Timothy Nyarandi will officiate.
Gilbrina L. Miller, fondly known as Bri, passed away on August 9, 2023, in Wahpeton, North Dakota, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 8, 1981, in South Bend, Indiana to Gilbert Miller Sr. and Estella Hamilton. Bri was a vibrant and kindhearted woman whose presence illuminated every room she entered.
Bri began her career as a Personal Care Attendant, providing compassionate care to individuals in their homes. She would later become a customer service representative for the Apple company.
Outside of work, Bri found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Among her cherished memories were dancing with her mother, Estella, during holidays while cooking. These moments captured the essence of Bri's joyful spirit and the close bond she shared with her family.
A loving and devoted mother, Bri always put her children first. She delighted in making them laugh with her playful antics like pinches, kisses, and buzzers. Her children - Chynnah, Justyce, Robert, and Aiden - were the pride and joy of her life.
Bri's educational journey was marked by significant achievements. In 2000, she graduated from Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana, before embarking on further studies. In 2023, she earned a Diploma in Mental Behavior from M State along with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Bri's commitment to personal growth exemplified her ambitious and driven nature.
In addition to her impressive academic pursuits, Bri possessed a creative flair and had a keen eye for fashion and decorating. Her sense of style allowed her to express herself artistically while bringing beauty into the world.
Reading provided comfort for Bri during quiet moments of reflection. She also had an affinity for R&B and Gospel music that touched her soul deeply. Through these hobbies and interests, she found inspiration and peace.
Bri's radiant personality shone like a star in the night sky. Her light never dimmed, infectious smile brought joy to those around her. Her vibrant, sweet, and kindhearted nature made every interaction with her a memorable one. Bri embraced life and turned every moment into something extraordinary.
Bri is survived by her children, Chynnah (Khalid), Justyce, Robert, and Aiden; beloved mother, Estella Hamilton; great-grandmother, Diane Hamilton; sisters, Precious Dozier, Choice Dozier, Sncrty Dozier, Licia Miller, Marvelous Johnson, Christina Sutherland, Karen Miller, Regina King, Tammy Miller; brothers, Gilbert Miller Jr., Joseph Herron and Rudolph Dion Miller.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Miller Sr.; uncles, Jerry and Richard Hamilton; brother, Cory Miller; and sister, Gathon Garrett.
Bri's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and her educational achievements. The love she shared with her children knew no bounds. She took immense pride in their growth and success. Additionally, she was proud of overcoming challenges and embracing new opportunities through various relocations.
Gilbrina L. Miller was a beacon of light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Though our hearts are heavy with grief at the loss of such an exceptional individual, let us find comfort in the memories we shared and the impact she made. May Bri's spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts as we remember her vibrant, sweet, kindhearted, and ambitious nature.
In this time of sorrow, let us come together to celebrate the extraordinary life of Gilbrina "Bri" Miller. Though her journey on this earth has come to an end, her legacy of love and compassion will endure forever.
