Helen Schneider

Helen T. Schneider, age 83, of Wahpeton, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in her home. No services are planned at this time.

Helen was born to Tony and Theresa Rist on February 25, 1936 in Kendal, SK, Canada. She spent most of her life in Canada. She married Adam Schneider in 1954, and together they had three children. After Adam’s passing in 1989, Helen married Donald Ewald in 2001. She loved going to Texas for the Winter, gardening when the weather was nice, sewing, crocheting, and enjoyed being a hockey mom when her boys were younger.

Helen is preceded in death by her first husband, Adam Schneider; parents, Tony and Theresa Rist; and her sister, Betty (Merle) Roome.

She is survived by her husband, Don Ewald; sons Bernie (Lori) Schneider, Gerry (Tracy) Schneider; daughter, Yvonne (Scott) Anderson; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her kind spirit and creative mind will truly be missed.
