Jane Haring

Jane Lynn Haring, 56, Wahpeton, ND, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton. The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 4, at Evergreen United Methodist Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Jen Tyler officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 PM to 6 PM with a 6 PM Prayer Service at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton. Arrangements have been entrusted with Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Jane was born March 26, 1959 in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of William H. and Alvina (Frankfurth) Haring. She grew up in Wahpeton and attended public schools; graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1977. She started work at the Wahpeton Rehab, and continued working there for 35 years; today known as St. Catherine's Living Center in Wahpeton. She was not only remembered for being a good caregiver at work but also looked after her mother for many years as well as other people in the community. Early this year she retired due to poor health and became a resident at the place she cared for so many people over the years.

Jane is a member of Evergreen United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, fishing and watching movies. She was very fond of pets and always seemed to have a dog at home; her most recent favorite was a black lab, Maggie.

Jane is survived by six siblings: Wayne (Erna) Haring, Colorado Springs, CO; Gene (Wilma) Haring, Ottertail, MN; Carol Stokes, West Fargo, ND; Lowell (Linda) Haring, Fargo, ND; Keith (LaVonne) Haring, West Fargo; Robert (Barbara) Haring, Thief River Falls, MN; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alvina; her brother William Jr., her sister Sharon Schmit, and good friend Dennis Anderson.
