Jean Pfeifle

Jean Pfeifle, 73, of Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Ashley, ND, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018.  There will be a visitation held at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Her memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley, ND with Pastor Alvin Beyer Officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.

Jean was born November 16, 1944, in Eureka, SD, to Frederick and Mollie (Schock) Marzolf.  She grew up in Ashley, ND.  Jean married the love of her life, Duane Pfeifle, on November 15, 1964.  The couple lived on Duane’s family dairy farm, where they raised their children, until moving to Wahpeton, ND in the fall of 1991.

Jean was involved in homemakers and 4-H in Ashley. She was also an active member of the Wahpeton Eagle’s Auxiliary.  She enjoyed doing many types of crafts and baking cakes. Jean worked a variety of jobs, until retiring.

Jean is survived by her husband, Duane; her children, Kelly (Carson) Kouba, Regent, ND, Kevin Pfeifle, Breckenridge, MN, and Karla (Dan) Kraft, Wahpeton, ND; eleven grandchildren, Kayla and Aaron Wendlandt, Kyle Kouba, Thaine, Cody, Dale and Kristina Pfeifle, Brooke, Kaitlin, Megan and Macy Kraft; and her six great-grandchildren, Jaylynn & Cayden Kouba, Teigan, Deziray and Preston Wendlandt, and Amelia Kraft; and three step grandchildren, Kyle, Alexis and Faith Wendlandt.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol; her parents, Fred Jr. and Mollie Marzolf.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be missed by all who loved her.
