Jerome Mohr

Jerome Mohr, 71, Wahpeton, ND passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at CHI St. Francis Health, Breckenridge, MN. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 28, at 10:30 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton, ND with Rev. Dale Lagodinski officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton, ND. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.

Jerome was born on October 25, 1943 in Wahpeton, ND to Joseph and Gertrude (McClintick) Mohr. He grew up on the family farm near Great Bend, ND. He attended St. Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND and graduated in 1962. He then worked on the family farm until he was drafted into the US Army in 1965. He served two tours in South Korea and one tour in Germany until he was honorably discharged in 1971.

Jerome was united in marriage to Hye Yon Lee on March 25, 1969 in El Paso, Texas. After his discharge from the service they moved back to the Great Bend area where Jerome started working for M&M Farms. In 1996, they moved into Wahpeton where they have lived to the present day. Jerome retired due to health reasons in 2010.

Jerome enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, and an occasional trip to the casino with Lee. Some of the best times in his life were spent with his daughter Jeanie riding in a truck, tractor, or mowing road ditches. Those times extended to seeing his grandchildren.

Jerome is survived by his wife, Lee, Wahpeton, ND; his daughter, Jeanie (Michael Roy) Tweedy, and their children, Pearl and Michael Roy, Jr., Panama City Beach, FL; his siblings, Josephine (Bud) Edmisson, Blackwell, OK, Mary (Francis) Schanilec, Grand Forks, ND, Tony (Paulette) Mohr, Great Bend, ND, Agnes (Vincent) Dobler, Breckenridge, MN, Francis Mohr, Great Bend, Gregory Mohr, Wahpeton; his brother-in-law, John Korinek, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, his brother, Joseph Mohr, and his sister, Ruth Korinek.
