Kathleen Walters

January 24, 1951 — December 9, 2017

Kathy Walters, 66, Wahpeton, ND, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at CHI St. Francis Health, Breckenridge, MN.  The “Celebration of Life Service” is set for Friday, December 29th at 10:30  am, Visitation begins at 10:00 am at Valley Christian Church, Breckenridge, MN with Pastor Lynn Dau officiating.

Kathleen DeLaine (Erickson) Walters was born January 24, 1951 in Hallock, MN to Bert and Stella (Johnson) Erickson.  She grew up on a farm in NW Minnesota and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in 1969.  She went on to attend Vo-Tech in TRF and graduated from the Clerical Department in 1970.  On November 18, 1983 she was united in marriage to William Walters and they made their home in Wahpeton, ND.  She took different career paths over her life and most recently worked for Hammer Realty.

Kathy enjoyed traveling, reading, decorating, creating homemade cards, playing games, and being part of craft club.  One of her specialties was planning parties, which she loved very much.  She will be remembered for her laughter and her fighting spirit, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Walters; 2 sons, Ryan and Josiah Walters; stepchildren, Brenda Walters, Dawn O’Leary, Sheila (Keith) Hittner,  Corey Walters;  grandsons, Brendan and Aiden; step-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon, Cody, Erin, Mattigan, Keaton, Breaden and CJ; Sister, Clareen (Curtis) Nordling; niece, KaLynn (Charlie) Martin; nephew, Mark (Jackie) Nordling; and many step-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
