Katrinka Griffin, 64, Wahpeton, ND passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 at her residence under the care of her family and CHI Health at Home. A private family memorial service was held. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Katrinka was born on August 30, 1950 in Breckenridge, MN to Leo and Violet (Martin) Stach. When she was young the family moved to Washington State where she grew up and graduated from high school. She met John Lyle Griffin while he was in the military and they were married on January 3, 1970. They continued to live in the Seattle area until 1976 when they moved back to Breckenridge, MN.

Katrinka was a member of the Wahpeton Lion's Club where she was the treasurer. She was also a big part of setting up the Wilkin County Fair. The one big labor of love that she enjoyed was being a coach in the Special Olympics, where she worked with the athletes in bowling, bocce ball, and track and field and they became a very special part of her life.

Katrinka was a woman who would help anyone but the most important people in her life were her family, especially her grandchildren.
