Keith A. Duncan

Keith Duncan, 73, of Wyndmere, ND, passed away in his home early Sunday, October 9, 2022. His service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in McLeod, ND, on Friday, October 14, 2022. Visitation will start at 10 am, with his funeral service beginning at 11 am. Reverend Wayne Quibell will be officiating. A  live stream of his service will be available on the funeral home website. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home.

Keith Arlin Duncan was born to Carl and Irene (Wickoren) Duncan on March 28, 1949, in Wahpeton, ND. He was raised in Wyndmere, ND, on the family farm. The family attended Bethany Lutheran Church of McLeod, ND, where Keith would later be confirmed.

After graduating from Wyndmere High School, Keith attended NDSU. In 1971, he moved to Florida for a year doing construction work. He then moved back to Wyndmere. While living in Wyndmere/ McLeod area, Keith worked for Schmit House Movers (Nick), Strege Concrete (Claude), Farming for Bob Quam, Melarosa Ranch, and farming with his brother, Wayne.

On June 11, 1977, Keith and Connie (Anderson) were united in marriage at Bethany Lutheran Church, and had the last wedding reception and dance at the Duncan Barn. Keith and Connie stayed on the family farm where they raised their two sons, Shane and Cody, and daughter, Rhonda.

Keith moved his family to Bismarck, ND, in October 1982, where Keith did construction work and also for the Carpenter’s Union until his retirement in 2012. They sold their home in Bismarck in September 2020 and built a home and moved to Wyndmere in September 2021.

Keith will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Connie Duncan; his daughter, Rhonda Gurley; his son, Shane Duncan; his brother Wayne Duncan; his sister-in-law, Karen Duncan; his grandchildren, Wyatt Gurley, Cheyenne Gurley, Merrae Duncan, Maverick Duncan, and Joey Duncan; his nieces and nephews, Bryan (Melisa) Duncan, Greg (Jackie) Anderson, Pamela (Cameron) Sorenson, Jesse (Angie) Anderson, Jimmy (Becca) Anderson, Cole Duncan, and Chelsea (Taylor) Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Irene Duncan; his son, Cody Duncan; and his brothers, Sherwyn and Larry Duncan.

In lieu of flowers the family asks those to donate to the Bethany Lutheran Church.
