Kristin Elaine Kellogg, born on December 10, 1966, in Breckenridge, MN, left this world on December 20, 2024, at her home in Wahpeton, ND. Those who loved her knew her to be incredibly smart, witty, and kind. She loved to read, particularly mysteries and thrillers, and when she was younger, she always kept a dictionary by her side in case she needed to look up a word, which she rarely did. She was also incredibly funny and so quick-witted that her jokes often went unnoticed for a minute or two before you realized what was said. Most of all she was kind. Her mom often referred to her as an angel. She wouldn’t hesitate to help those in need or offer up conversation to those who were lonely.
Kristin traveled much in her life and lived in many different places, but Wahpeton was her home. It’s where her family was, and the highlight of Kristin’s life was her family. She loved her husband Rich, and her children, Houston and Elaine, more than anything. Houston and she loved to watch basketball and would passionately root for the Philadelphia 76ers. With Elaine she would watch scary movies where they shielded their eyes the entire time, giggling and eating snacks while avoiding whatever terror was on screen. With Rich, she had many special traditions. They loved to play games and place bets on who would win, though it was almost always her. They also loved to go for drives together where they often ended up along the river, watching Rich reel in walleyes. As far as love goes, right behind her family was Prince, whose songs set the soundtrack to Kristin’s life and her happiest memories.
Kristin is survived by her husband Rich; her son Houston Lindell; her daughter Elaine Keehn; her father Burton Berg; her sister Dana Lynn; her brother Ryan Berg; her aunt Julie Berg; and her nieces Meyla Michelle and Lauren Berg. She was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Keehn; her stepfather David Keehn; and her uncles Dennis Herrick and David Berg who were there to greet her with open arms in heaven.
A visitation in memory of Kristin will be held on January 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by a Prayer Service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 607 6th St N, Wahpeton, ND. Pastor Amy Eisenmann will officiate.
May she rest in eternal peace.
