Lois Weiss, 82, Wahpeton, ND, died Sunday, September 14, 2008, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge , MN . The funeral service will be Wednesday, 2:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, ND, with Rev. Morris W. Stephens, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Willow Creek Chapel ( 920 3 rd Ave. N. ) Wahpeton from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; also, visitation one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens , Wahpeton. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.





Lois K. Weiss was born April 11, 1926, the daughter of Henry and Clara (Hennen) Ehlers, rural Tyler , ND . She attended rural school at Summit No. 3 and Wahpeton High School . Lois was united in marriage to Harold E. Weiss on June 11, 1944 at Tyler . They lived in Breckenridge , MN until 1952 when they moved to Wahpeton. Lois worked at JC Penney’s in Wahpeton for 27 years. Harold passed away October 7, 1997; Lois continued to live in Wahpeton.





Lois was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church , Wahpeton where she was in the choir, LWML and Crafty Ladies.





Lois is survived by her son Curtis (Phyllis) Weiss, Elk River, MN; and her daughter, Charlene (Dana) Rehm, Cambridge, MN; five grandchildren: Sara (Chris) Stroh, Red Wing, MN; Tara (Keith) Doring, Phoenix, AZ; Seth (Rochelle) Rehm, Isanti, MN; twins, Tana (Chuck) Seguin, Elk River, MN and Tim (Missy) Weiss, Elk River, MN; six great grandchildren: Cameron & Claire DuRose; Cassidy & Hunter Rehm, Isabel Seguin and Rory Doring; her sister Vivian (Norman) Bohn, Wahpeton; her three brothers: Dale (Sandi) Ehlers, Sioux Falls, SD; Dennis (Cheryl) Ehlers, Coon Rapids, MN; Vern (Phyllis) Ehlers, St. Cloud, MN; her aunt Gen Hennen, Wheaton, MN and many nieces and nephews.





She joins in death her loving husband Harold, her parents, and her sister, LaMae Boltz and brother-in-law Lou Boltz.
