Louis Henkenius

Louis M. Henkenius, 54, San Francisco , CA , died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at St. Luke Campus, California Pacific Medical Center , San Francisco , after a recent diagnosis of cancer. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Mooreton , ND with Rev. Peter Anderl as celebrant. Interment will be held at a later date.

Louis was born on March 15, 1954 in Breckenridge , MN to Adolph and Dorothy (Klosterman) Henkenius. He was raised in the Mooreton area.

He graduated from Wyndmere High School , Wyndmere , ND in 1972, then received his B. A. Degree in Speech Pathology at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND in 1976 and his Masters Degree in Audio/logy from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, CO in 1978.

His most recent employment was at the University of California San Francisco research Hospital where he worked for the past 20 years.

Louis is survived by two brothers, Michael (Chris), Battle Lake , MN and Kurt (Kathy), Ft. Collins, CO; 5 sisters, Carol (Tom) Radford, Littleton, CO, Claudia (Alvin) Brandt, Wyndmere, Rachel (Gary) Thompson, Bloomington, MN, Mary (Chris) Denis, Argusville, ND, and Carmen (Karl) Schroeder, Sturgeon Bay, WI; 22 nicest and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
