Louise Olson, 64, of Mooreton, ND passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND. Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Mooreton Lutheran Church with Rev. Gordon Lee officiating. Arrangements are entrusted with Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Louise Kay Schoenfelder was born on July 15, 1953 to Bernard and Jackie (Laybourn) Schoenfelder in Havre, MT. She grew up in Fort Peck, MT where she attended school through the 8th grade, and later graduated from Glasgow High School in 1971. After high school, Louise attended Carroll College in Helena, MT where she completed her generals, and later attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND earning her degree in occupational therapy.

Louise married Doug Olson on June 18, 1977 in Fort Peck, MT. The couple made their home in Mooreton, ND. Louise worked at St. Francis Healthcare in Breckenridge, MN for 14 years as the activities director. She later worked 19 years for Dr. Welder at Prairie Vision in Wahpeton.

Louise enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and doing many different kinds of crafts. She was also an avid reader. She was a member of the Mooreton Lutheran Church where she had many duties including treasurer, church council, and helping with the ladies aid.

Louise is survived by her husband, Doug Olson and their baby Chloe; her godson, Anthony Roller and his fiancé, Megan Johnson; a special godson in heaven, Lance Sannes; special friends, Kyle (Tertia) Christensen and their daughter, Addie “Bug” Christensen; her brothers, Bernard Jr. (Kimberly) Schoenfelder, Robert (Lynda) Schoenfelder, and James (Becky) Schoenfelder; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Schoenfelder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Jackie Schoenfelder; and a brother, John Schoenfelder.
