Louise Pausch

March 26, 1922 — March 3, 2010

Louise was born March 26, 1922, at LaMars Township , near Fairmount , ND , the daughter of Emil L. and Barbara (Neubauer) Schroeder. She grew up and attended rural school near Fairmount. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Berg on October 24, 1945, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. The couple lived and farmed near Fairmount, where their nine children were born. LeRoy passed away in an accident on June 4, 1972, and Louise continued living on the farm and raising her family. She married Harold Pausch on October 5, 1985. Harold passed away December 15, 2007, and Louise entered St. Francis Nursing Home in May of 2009.





Louise was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Foresters and Christian Mothers. She was a past president of the Fairmount Band Members and enjoyed her Birthday Club. Louise’s focus and total attention in her life was her family. She spent many hours flower gardening, cooking, and baking; her family’s favorites were her divinity and butterhorns.





Louise is survived by her nine children: LeRoy (Carole) Berg, Fairmount; Gerald (Debby) Berg, Lisbon, ND; Joseph (Georgia) Berg, Kindred, ND; Mary Biewer, Wahpeton; Theresa (Jerome) Link, Mooreton, ND; Julie Clark, Oxon Hill, MD; Maureen (Duane) Braun, Fairmount; Paula (Tom) Schmidt, Fargo, ND; Janel (Scott) Muehler, Rogers, MN; 21 grandchildren: Ricky and Brian Berg, Christy (Rich) Fetzer, Josh and Ashley Berg, Matthew (Kortney) Berg, Kimberly (Matt) Olson, Allison (Brandon) Moline, Brianna Berg, Jeremy Biewer, Kayla Biewer, Sherry Link, Tammy (her fiancé, Willie Buchholz) Link, Jennifer Clark, Emily (Ryan) Hahn, Cassandra (Cory) Metcalf, Vanessa (Mike) Hogg, Liza Braun, Jackie and James Schmidt, Dustin Muehler, and eight great-grandchildren.





Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Randy Link; five brothers, Dan, Harold, Willard, Elroy, and Elmer Schroeder; three sisters, Mabel Radke, Julia Leavitt, and Lillian Brunkhorst.
