Marian Kensinger

Marian was born August 11, 1924, on the home farm near Abercrombie, the daughter of Maurice and Marie (Wold Berseth. She attended rural school and graduated from Abercrombie High school in 1941. She attended Valley City State University and taught rural Richland County schools for five years. Marian was united in marriage to Marvin Kensinger on December 21, 1946 at Fargo , ND . They lived on a farm until moving to Abercrombie in 1969. She was employed as a postal clerk in Abercrombie and later became the Postmaster, retiring February 2, 1990.

Marian was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church , WELCA, and the Abercrombie Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin, Abercrombie; two sons: Larry (Pamela) Kensinger, Christine, ND; Arlen (Patti) Kensinger, Windsor, CO; six grandchildren: Tammy and Todd Kensinger, Kari (David) Dill, Fargo, ND; Kyle Kensinger, Christine; Laura and Ryan Kensinger, Las Vegas, NV; three step grandchildren, Hope, Jessica and Kristina Hotchkiss, Christine; four great-grandchildren: Matthew Dakken; Jonathan, Jasmine and Ashton Dill, Fargo, and her sister, Glenda Adams, Abercrombie; sisters-in-law, Shirley Kensinger, Joan Berseth, and her brother-in-law, Kenny (Sylvia) Kensinger.
