Myrtle Sager, 68, Wahpeton, ND, formerly Wimbledon, ND, died Monday, December 29, 2014, at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. A private Family service was held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.
Myrtle Luann Krogfoss was born January 18, 1946, at Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Charles and Thelma (Strand) Krogfoss. Early in Myrtle's life, the family moved to Devil's Lake, ND, where she grew up and attended school.
Myrtle married Ronald Sager on December 7, 1963, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Devil's Lake; Ron's occupation took the family to many locations, settling in Wimbledon in 1994. Myrtle entered St. Catherine's Living Center in July of 2009.
Myrtle's family was very important to her. She enjoyed visiting as well as painting and gardening earlier in her life.
Myrtle is survived by her husband, Ronald Sager, Sr., Wimbledon; sons, Ron, Jr. (Barb) Sager, Plymouth, MN, and their children, Lauren (Francisco) Bittara, Fargo, and Haley at home; Daniel Sager and Heather Murawski, North Branch, MN, and her children, Gage and Bailey; Anthony (Cherie) Sager, Fargo, ND, and their daughter, Emily; Samuel (Jessica) Sager, Minot, ND, and their children, Paige, Alec, Kaydin, Dominic, and Victoria; a daughter, Jennifer (Donald) Faul, Wahpeton, and their children, Adam and Jessica; Myrtle's siblings, Avis Peterson, Chico CA; Thomas (Lilly) Krogfoss, Bozeman MT; Doris (Mike) Bachmeier, Devils Lake ND; Marty Krogfoss, Boseman MT; Karl (Jeanette) Krogfoss, Starkweather, ND; Charlotte Greene, Golden CO; and many nieces and nephews.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Lavonne McKay and Susan Krogfoss, and her brothers, Leslie Krogfoss and John Krogfoss.
