Pamela N. Kinneberg

Pamela N. Kinneberg, 64, of Abercrombie, ND, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND, under the care of hospice, after a difficult battle with stomach cancer. A visitation will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 6 PM to 7 PM, followed by a prayer service at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Eagle Valley Church in Christine, ND. Interment will be at Bethany Free Lutheran Cemetery in rural Abercrombie.

Pam was born in McVille, North Dakota on September 7, 1961 to David and Marilyn Jacobson. She graduated from Binford High School in 1979,

and went on to attend the Association Free Lutheran Bible School, followed by Minnesota State University of Moorhead for a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She chose a career in graphic design, where she worked for a corporate company, then transitioned to self-employment several years later. In 1987, Pam married the love of her life, Matt Kinneberg. Pam was the perfect fit for Matt in every way. They had an invaluable relationship with one another, and Pam’s beauty was evident to him,

both inside and out. In 1991, they were blessed with their first daughter, Shelby (Shane Webber), followed by a second daughter in 1994, Mackenzie (Micah Long). As a family, they were active members of Bethany Free Lutheran Church in Abercrombie, North Dakota.

In 2013, Pam discovered one of her greatest passions - face painting. She was extraordinarily talented at it, and her creativity was an inspiration to many. It is estimated that Pam painted over thirty-thousand faces during the course of her time as a face painter. She had an eye for detail and strived for perfection in everything she did.

Pam loved spending time with her family and six grandchildren. She was patient, forgiving, supportive, and self-sacrificing. Her grandchildren will especially remember her as the craft queen, ultimate storyteller, nature enthusiast, and baker extraordinaire. Most importantly, she loved Jesus and felt a strong calling to bring others to Christ, even in the midst of her diagnosis. The ultimate priority she had for her family was that they would know Jesus as their Savior. She was a mentor to so many, both actively and passively, in how she conducted herself and lived out her life for the Lord.

Pam’s family would like to thank Dr. Kobrossy and all of the oncology and nursing staff at Essentia for their care and compassion during her cancer journey.
