Patricia "Pat" Klosterman

December 7, 1928 — May 3, 2025

Patricia "Pat" Klosterman, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, in Fargo, North Dakota, at the age of 96. Born on December 7, 1928, Pat carried the spirit of her hometown throughout her life, creating a legacy that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Pat was a lifelong learner who grew up attending Catholic school in Minneapolis, where she cultivated the values of kindness, faith, and community. Her warm and friendly demeanor made her a beloved figure, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile with anyone she met. Her heart was as generous as it was loving, and she found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially in her family and her garden. The flowers she tended were not just blooms; they were tokens of her affection, shared generously with loved ones, friends, and even the altar of her church and the local post office.

On September 24, 1955, Pat married the love of her life, Charles Klosterman, their union brought three beloved children forth. As a mother, Pat's love for her children, Kelly (Michelle) Kim (Bill) and Kevin (Sherry), knew no bounds and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Erin (Geir), Sean (Kylie), Kody, and Kendra. Her home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and the sweet fragrance of her garden's flowers, creating enduring memories that will be held close in their hearts.

In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, Pat actively contributed to her faith community. She was deeply involved in the Christian Mothers and church circle, reflecting her commitment to nurturing both her spiritual life and those around her. Her proudest accomplishments stemmed from these engagements, as she fostered connections and friendships that enriched her community.

Pat also enjoyed traveling, embarking on many bus trips with her friends that filled her years with adventure and laughter. These experiences further expanded her already vibrant world, adding layers to her rich tapestry of life.

She is lovingly remembered by her surviving sibling, Ilene Reid, who, alongside her children and grandchildren, will carry forward the lessons of love, compassion, and joy that Pat exemplified every day.

Pat is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband Charles, who predeceased her on January 1, 1997, and her siblings Nancy Hreha and Chuck Hreha, whose spirits she carried with her always.
