Peggy Jo Taylor

January 26, 1961 — November 18, 2023

Peggy Jo Taylor, 62, of Wahpeton, North Dakota, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at her residence, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.  Services will be planned at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.

Peggy Jo Taylor was born on January 26, 1961, to Alexander and Jeanette (Johnson) Taylor in Lake Zurich, Illinois.  Since her father was in the military, she resided in a few different places, but she spent most of her time growing up in Detroit, Michigan.  Peggy would make roots in Washington state, but also spent time living in Ketchikan, Alaska.  In 2010, she made her home in Wahpeton, North Dakota, to be closer to her sons, Josh and Chris.

Peggy was a crafty lady.  She spent time sewing, scrapbooking, painting, and paper crafts.  When she wasn’t crafting, she would kick back and watch crime shows.  In 2020, she and her son took a trip to Mount Rushmore, as national monuments were an interest of hers.  Camping was another favorite of Peggy’s.  There were many memories shared of these times with her.

Peggy is survived by her children, Josh Taylor (Danielle Fields), Chris Taylor (Amanda Hester); grandchildren, Krystoph and Gabriel; siblings, Margie Smith, Alexander Taylor III, James Beck, Lynn Barnes; April Maus, mother of Gabriel; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Jeanette; and a sibling, Robert Taylor.
