Phyllis Mathilda Leshovsky

Phyllis Mathilda Leshovsky, 93, of Breckenridge, MN, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 5, 2024. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm, Monday, January 15, 2024, at Vertin Munson Funeral home in Wahpeton, followed by the funeral at 2:00pm. Rene’ Hasbargen will be the officiant. Internment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge at a later date. 

Phyllis Leshovsky was born on September 10, 1930, to Alfred and Elizabeth (Gebhart) Leshovsky. She received her education in Breckenridge, graduating from Breckenridge High School. 

In her later years, Phyllis enjoyed employment mowing lawns at Riverside Cemetery. Her commitment to community service extended in her involvement with the American Legion Auxiliary.  

Phyllis remained in her Breckenridge home until her passing. She had a special fondness for her beloved cats, Annie and Andy, Bella and Bella II. Phyllis was also an avid sports fan, especially the Minnesota Twins. 

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elizabeth and her siblings Elroy, Anna, Lorraine, LeRoy, Helen, and her good friend Hiram McAllister.   

The arrangements are being handled by Vertin Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton.
