Randell Charles Jost was born June 7, 1959, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Ralph and Elsie (Tapper) Jost. He attended school in Dwight, ND, and Breckenridge, MN. Riding the school bus was something he was eager to do. Randy lived at the family farm until 1987, then he moved to Wahpeton, ND.
Randy was a very happy guy, and loved going to church. He definitely knew how to pray! He enjoyed bowling and going to Duluth, MN, for vacations. Randy’s biggest passions were for calendars, magazines, and of course- McDonalds.
Christmas was always a very special time for Randy. He loved the time spent with his family. He took part in Special Olympics for many years, and was employed by RRHS as a parts sorter at the Center.
Randy is survived by his brother, Ron (Mary) Jost; sister, Renee (Darrel) Essig; nieces and nephews, Amanda Jost, Carissa Jost, Dylan (Kendra) Jost, Dacie (Joel) Niewoehner, Raeanna Essig; and great-nephew and niece, Rylan Niewoehner and Letty Jost.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elsie; and grandmother, Irene Tapper.
Randy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Red River Human Services and the staff at 821 for the excellent care he has received and friendships that were made over the years.
