Rhonda Krause-Goettle

Rhonda Mari Krause-Goettle, 55, Ashley, N.D., died Friday, August 25, in her home, under the loving care of her family and her childhood friend, Sue. Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, from 4-7pm, with a service to celebrate her life at 7pm at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton, ND, officiated by Rev. Harvey Henderson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to CHI-Health at Home-Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.

Rhonda was born August 10, 1962, to Leyone & Marleen Krause, in Breckenridge, MN. She grew up and attended school in Lidgerwood, ND. While raising her three children, she worked hard from being a business owner, to working at Bobcat where she met her future husband, James. Rhonda and James were united in marriage on Oct 28, 2011 and made their home in Ashley, ND. Rhonda continued to work in Ashley, creating a special bond with many that she met over the years.

Rhonda loved meeting new people. She was respected by her friends for her honest opinions. She was known as a great listener, and provided advice in return, whether it was wanted or not. She was a caretaker and was loved by many. She had several pastimes, including crafting, birdwatching, reading, and spending quiet time reflecting on God’s word. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, which typically included endless golf cart rides as well as Grandma RaRa’s bottomless caramel rolls and ice cream. Rhonda’s life has been lived to the fullest, her children and grandchildren gave her strength and determination to fight cancer. Though she was exhausted, she put that all aside when her family needed her love and attention.

Rhonda will be greatly missed by: her husband James, Ashley ,ND; her parents, Leyone & Marleen Krause, Wahpeton, ND; her children, Shahna (John) Hagen, Fargo, ND, Dayne (Angie) Kratcha, West Fargo, ND, Wyn Woytassek, Mooreton, ND; her step-children, Nicholas Goettle (Samara Hansen), Willmar, MN, Tayler Goettle, Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Talen, Mercee, Tanner, Mya and Addelyn; her siblings; Loni (Rick) Blilie, Fargo, ND, Brett (MJ) Krause, Wahpeton, ND, Madalee Milbrandt, Fargo, ND, Marni (Mike) Molby, Wahpeton, ND, and Kaddi Krause (Marc Buckhouse), Hankinson, ND.

She was greeted in heaven by her infant son Dustin, grandparents Ted and Ella Krause, Martin and Eileen Solberg, and Alfred Williamson.
