Virginia Syring

Virginia M. Syring, 70, Wahpeton, ND died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at her home under the care of Riveredge Hospice, Breckenridge , MN . Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 25 at Bethel Lutheran Church , Wahpeton with Rev. Mark Manning officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton; also, visitation on Wednesday at the church 1 hour prior to time of service. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery , Dent, Minnesota .

Virginia Mae Syring was born April 20, 1938 at Rural Clitherall, Leaf Mountain Township , Otter Tail County , MN to Carl John and Grace (White) Listrom. She received her formal education at rural Clitherall. On April 30, 1958 she married Paul G. Syring at Webster , SD. In 1963 the couple moved to Wahpeton where Paul was employed at Ro-Banks Manufacturing. Virginia was a homemaker taking care of her children, attending Bethel Lutheran Church, artext painting, avid TV fan of wrestling, enjoyed the lakes, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and family gatherings.

She is survived by her 3 daughter and 2 sons, Jo.Ann (David) Kurtti, Fargo, ND, Linda Olson, West Fargo, ND, Patricia Arnett, Fergus Falls, MN, Joseph (Anita) Syring, Wahpeton, Paul (Michelle) Syring, Walcott, ND; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, March 4, 1994; 1 sister; and 14 brothers.
